Download and Install Desktop Client on MacOS

Use the following steps to install Desktop Client on your MacOS with every release of Epiq Discovery. After installing Desktop Client, note that the logs are located in /Library/Application Support/EpiqDiscoveryClient/logs.

For instructions on installing Desktop Client in Windows, refer to Download and Install Desktop Client.

Perform the following procedure to download and install Desktop Client.

1. Uninstall the previous version of Desktop Client and remove any associated subdirectories.

2. Download Desktop Client using the following steps.
   1. In the Project page, click and choose DESKTOP CLIENT.
   2. In the Download & Install Desktop Client page, select Download for Mac.

3. From the epiqdiscoveryclientosx ZIP file, extract epiqdiscoveryclientosx folder, which contains the following Desktop Client files: EpiqDiscoveryClient.pkg and config.json.

4. Right-click on EpiqDiscoveryClient.pkg and extract the Epiq Discovery Client package using installer.app (Mac installer).

5. To launch Epiq Desktop Client, double-click EpiqDiscoveryClient.app from the Applications folder.
   • If a message stating the developer cannot be verified appears, select the EpiqDiscoveryClient.app, and then select the gear icon in the menubar and then select Open. When asked to confirm the action to open the app, click Open.
6.  When Desktop Client launches, enter your ID/Email Address and Password. Then, click SIGN IN.

7. In Desktop Client, navigate to a project using one of the following methods.

   • Scroll through the list to your project.

   • In the search bar, enter the first few characters of the project name.

8. To open a project, click the project name.

9. For information about features in Desktop Client, click Help in the titlebar.
